Every few weeks in the 2D department at Cranbrook every graduate student has to put work up for critique. While that work is being presented another graduate student has to write a comprehensive critique of their work and design it into a pamphlet, poster, tabloid, or another piece of traditional publication design. Each person gets 40 hours to write critically on the work in regards to cultural literacy, critical analysis, historical significance, and art and design context within contemporary forms, as well as fitting the writing into an intentional piece of design and making 30 editions.
